Nina Matsumoto a.k.a. "space coyote" is a comic book artist. This means she draws stuff sometimes. Observe.

My dog, hating me and life, wearing the hooded cape my friend made for her.

What happens when you cross Sailor Moon with Unicornos? Sailor Moonicornos, debuted at TCAF. Apologies to Naoko Takeuchi and Tokidoki.
Kinda cute. Mostly creepy. Thanks to twolle for the idea.
See you at TCAF! My monster will eatcha if you don’t come into the Beeton Auditorium!
Virtue’s Last Reward fanart of my three favourite characters. The first major choice I had to make in the game within the game.
Just finished Fire Emblem: Awakening so I did a fanart. I love all the character designs in this game. I’ll be selling prints of this at Fan Expo Vancouver this weekend!
The Fundraiser for Waterlogged: Tales From The Seventh Sea is now up! Check it out here: http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/waterlogged-tales-from-the-seventh-sea/
Waterlogged is Cloudscape’s seventh anthology, and it’s theme is based around sea-faring tales. This glorious landscape-style hardcover comic book collects stories from 30 different artists, including Lucy Bellwood, Gabriel Frizzera, Nina Matsumoto, and more.
You can prepurchase this book on our indiegogo or pick up any of the other great perks on the side. All money goes towards producing this book and making sure Cloudscape can continue to support local indie comics in BC.
If nothing else, visit the site to check out our video, which is pretty amusing!
I drew a story for this!
Spartacus (the TV series) crossed with Kid Dracula (the NES/Famicom game). Talk about an unexpected mash-up.
Commissioned by a Spartacus fan wanting to make a fake Famicom cart. I’ve played Kid Dracula, but I’ve never seen this series. It was fun to draw nonetheless.
Haggleman 3 from Retro Game Challenge, Ninja Gaiden-style. Commissioned by someone who wanted to make a Famicom label out of it.
Face and pose were heavily referenced from official Ninja Gaiden and Haggleman art.
Okay, another quickie for 90’s anime week since it’s so much fun. I know Pokemon technically doesn’t count ‘cause it’s still ongoing, but it debuted in the 90’s and I used to watch it back then, when it featured just Gen 1 Pokemon. I’ve always been partial to Team Rocket.
